Torquay is a safe, friendly seaside resort in the south-west
of England. It is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty
known as the English Riviera, distinguished by its mild climate,
beautiful beaches and dramatic coastline. It attracts tourists
from England and abroad and offers a wide range of sports, leisure
and cultural activities. |

International House offers a secure,
accessible environment and a leisure programme of exciting and
challenging activities. Lessons take place in our own permanent
school building, which has a large common room, gardens with
harbour views and snack-bar.

Daily sports and activities include :
- One half-day excursion
example: ferry trip to Brixham fishing village
- One full-day excursion on Saturday
example: coach trip to Exeter and Dartmoor National Park
- Two evening activities including disco
- Treasure trails, games, sports, speedboat rides

One full-day and four half-day excursions are run
during every two week period. These can include the cathedral city
of Exeter, the maritime city of Plymouth, Dartmoor National Park,
Dartmouth and its Naval Academy, the picturesque Devon town of
Totnes, Woodlands Adventure Park, and a boat trip along the River
